
About
Albin Eklund is a Swedish jazz drummer based in Stockholm. He began playing drums at the age of nine and studied jazz and classical percussion at prestigious high school Södra Latin. He continued his education at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and further broadened his musical experience by studying at the Tribeca Jazz Institute in New York City during the fall of 2023.

During these studies Albin has had the chance to learn from great drummers such as Joseph Farnsworth, Kenny Washington, Rodney Green, Phil Stewart, Moussa Fadera, Bengt Stark and Snorre Kirk.

Albin Eklund has shared the stage with internationally renowned jazz musicians such as Grant Stewart, Pasquale Grasso, Dwayne Clemons, and Vladimir Shafranov.

Albin is a frequent presence on jazz stages across Sweden, performing with a wide range of acclaimed ensembles and artists. He can be heard with groups such as the Amanda Sedgwick Quartet and Quintet, Stella Gustin Quartet, Elias Larsson Trio, Unit 4, Stampen Quintet, Elvira Lundstedt Septet, Olle Eklind Big Band, and many more.

Today, Albin works full-time as a professional jazz musician, performing regularly with a variety of ensembles at concerts, festivals and private events throughout Sweden and internationally.
